Greetings from sunny California! While most of my friends have been homebound by ice and snow I've been strolling the green streets of the bay area, sight-seeing with my family. Drawing time has been scarce (amidst all this relaxing and catching up) and I can't seem to find a scanner but, I did do a few quick sketches yesterday at the Pixar exhibit at the Oakland Museum - which was phenomenal. That's right, PHENOMENAL. I don't know if you guys are Pixar fans or not, but I hope you recognize these characters (If you're not a Pixar fan, heads up, you probably have a block of ice where your heart should be.):

Hey gang!

Winter is upon us and, if you live anywhere west of Nevada and north of Texas, you're probably freezing your ass off. (I sure am!) But, what better way to brighten this uninhabitable season than to send some snail mail? It makes everyone feel all warm and fuzzy inside to come home and find something lovingly hand mailed to them. So, for $5 I'll send you a pack of 10 handmade Rock and Roll Reindeer postcards and you can mail them to your 10 favorite people who could use a little winter cheer. Order before New Year's and I'll throw in my 8-page holiday mini-comic for free! Just click on my store to order.

Apologies for such a long failure to post! I've been busy as ever, chipping away at my thesis, working on my holiday mailer and starting a new anthology (more on that soon!). Here's a promotional poster I did for my thesis project, currently hanging in the Center for Cartoon Studies gallery next to the magnificent work of my fellow classmates.

For Jen Vaughn's birthday, Caitlin McGurk and I giddily created a masterpiece of sacrilegious scrapbooking. Hence, I present to you, the closest thing to a lesbian lovefest comic I've posted this year:

in case you were wondering, here's the end result of our collective crafting power:

FINALLY! After a long hiatus and a lot of work, I give you MY NEW WEBSITE! Ta-da!

As some of you may know, my BFF, Jeph Porter, recently fell off the wagon and did the unthinkable, he moved to southern California. SO, to make myself feel better about the fact that Chicago will never ever be the same again, I've decided to hypothesize about some of his adventures out in the wild west. Enjoy.
