I just finished up a week in Chicago - the city I love most, but not for the weather. Here’s a page from my sketchbook.
The radiant, hilarious, talented, Beth Hetland and I at our table today at the Maine Comic Art Festival!
We sold a ton of books and she made me laugh so hard I had to spit out my drink…into her cup…AGAIN. True friendship!
The Center for Cartoon Studies class of 2010 graduated on Saturday! I bawled my eyes out through the ceremony—thinking about how next year I’ll be thrown out into the cold, cold world outside of the CCS bubble—but my spirits were lifted by a delightfully hilarious Texas family dinner with two of my favorite new graduates, Jen Vaughn and Laura Terry.
Here’s a classic Jen moment that probably contributed to our being ejected from a mediocre restaurant in Hanover.
Last preview from Chutzpah! Issue One before we return to regularly scheduled programming next week.
If you still want a copy and you haven’t ordered one yet, don’t forget to email me before May 7th to get the $5.00 special!
